Homelessness in Saaremaa

Now is not yet very much the homeless in the island of Saaremaa it is able to do still more or less kept in check. But looking at the economic situation, it is not very difficult to be deprived of everything and get into the streets to live. The authors chose this topic because the problem will inevitably rise, and wanted to know how many young people think homelessness is a major problem, and they have taken to remedy the problem.
Studies were conducted during the period 05.03.2009 - 05.04.2009, and participated in a total of 40 people.

This research study has been carried out in two ways.

1. The survey of people aged 16-21 years in the city of Kuressaare.

2. Interview Kuressaare city social worker, and Monika.

Study was conducted among young people between the ages of Kuressaare (16-21 years).

Studied showed the contingent:
Respondents think that homelessness is a big problem.
Most of the respondents knew who is a homeless person.
More than half of the respondents have not taken anything for homelessness to improve the problem.

The vast majority of respondents found that Estonia is not doing enough to help the homeless people.
100% of the respondents think that, in the city of Kuressaare homelessness is not a major problem.
Most of the respondents would not take the homelessness well.
More than half of the respondents would not be willing to assist the homeless.
The authors do not think that homelessness is a serious problem in the city of Kuressaare , although homelessness is, if the city well enough to be able to assist them, at least at the moment, of course, it would be nice if there can be no such problem at all, but it is not inevitable, and so is each of the neighboring town of a few homeless , who has been living between the gears. Homeless but also should not fear, they are people like any other and is not worth passing sniff unpleasant odors than who knows what may happen, never to their self, so we must be tolerant and tolerant of all the members of the society.
