2010-03-20 17:29

  • Who are actually children without parental care?
  • Who decides and when it occurs when a child should go to the Centre for Social Welfare?
  • Are children ready to separate from their parents?
  • When is the child's situation a problem to him/herself, to the family, to the society?
  • How does children in need of help feel?
  • Does the society want to help children in need?
  • When does the Centre for Social Welfare  consider that children live in difficult and adverse conditions?
  • When can a child be fully divided from their parents?

The interviewed pupil says the following:

He voluntarily came to the home because his parents had no money for their maintenance.

The home is not bad because it really has a good team and friends, but says that he really misses his friends and parents, because he came  from Varaždin (a town in Northern Croatia) to Lovran (a town on the Adriatic sea about 250 km away from Varaždin). He came to Lovran because he has a grandmother in Lovran who sends him some money .. and helps in his maintenance.

He is satisfied with himself and with his life, he is an average student, there is no problem with the school.

He says that his life is not bad at all, but that in some moments he really misses his parents and his hometown.
